David Bloovman
David lives and works in Philadelphia. He is a co-founder of Circle Compost, and has more than twenty years of experience working in textile recycling. He served as President of the Secondary Materials and Recycled Textiles Association (SMART Assn.) from 2018 to 2020, and on the SMART board of directors from 2011 to 2022.
Michele Bloovman
Michele lives and works in Philadelphia. She co-founded Circle Compost with her husband, David, in 2016, and currently works full time running the company. Prior to Circle Compost, Michele worked as a food scientist developing foods for companies of all sizes, from multi-billion dollar brands to start ups.
Tyler Yoder
Tyler lives and works in Philadelphia. He serves multiple roles working at Circle Compost since 2020, and has worked in sustainability for almost a decade. He previously taught environmental education at NorthBay Adventure on the Chesapeake Bay, where he empowered hundreds of underserved student groups to better understand how their actions impact their future, community, and natural surroundings.
Claire Ciccarone
Claire lives and works in Philadelphia. She serves multiple roles working at Circle Compost since 2021 including photo, video, and media projects. She previously worked at Longwood Gardens as a horticulture assistant and still works as a freelance photographer.
Matthew Subits
Matt lives and works in Philadelphia. He co-founded and served as Executive Director of Grow Philly, a non-profit operating in Philadelphia from 2012 - 2020 focused on bringing hyper-local grown produce, as well as athletic and music programs, to underserved Philadelphia communities.
Albert Berkheimer
Albert lives and works in Montgomery County. He is an audit manager at Michael Rosen & Company and specializes in providing accounting and tax services to a wide range of organizations, including non-profits, retirement plans, and breweries. Al has served as a Treasurer at a number of Philadelphia based non-profit organizations.
Allyson Schonfeld
Ally lives in Wallingford and works as a farmer at Weaver's Way. She's worked with urban farms and food access for more than ten years and looks forward to continuing this work.
