We work to:

• Assist in community efforts to transform vacant lots into green spaces for community gardens, community composting, and other community use

• Receive applications and offer funding for composting services to interested individuals in the city of Philadelphia living below the poverty line

• Educate people about the importance of and proper way to compost, and "the 4 R's" (refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle)

• Explore and engage in collection of certain recyclable materials and ensure that they are recycled

• By year end 2025: increase composting and recycling capacity in the Philadelphia area by assisting in the creation of a new, permitted composting site, which can also serve as a place to collect and sort certain recyclable materials
